first_imgFrancois Brown, alleged killer of Joyce Otu-Jaywheh, on the run The Liberia National Police (LNP) has called on the public to provide information on the whereabouts of Francois Browne, who is wanted for the gruesome murder almost two weeks ago of Mrs. Joyce Otu Jaywheh in an ELWA neighborhood in Paynesville.Information gathered by this newspaper from the LNP said while Browne remains on the run, they believe he is still in Liberia. As such, residents in all quarters of the country should help bring the suspect to police for investigation. The late Joyce Otu-Jawheh celebrated her 53rd natal day on Friday, March 23, 2018 (photo courtesy: Bethel World Outreach Church, Robbinsdale, Minnesota).According to information, police received a tip-off reportedly from the mother of suspect Browne, Tellewo Jallah, from her Kakata residence. The mother allegedly told police that two days after the crime was committed, her son (Browne) sent her a phone call in which he said, “Mama, I killed one woman in Monrovia (ELWA) Community, but am running away to avoid police arrest, because I am still in Monrovia.”  This information is yet to be verified.Madam Jaywheh was gruesomely murdered in the early evening of Saturday, March 23, in her three-bedroom fenced house in the Zoewloh neighborhood of ELWA in Paynesville. She had celebrated her 53rd birthday anniversary the previous day. While neighbors could not give any account of circumstances leading to the death of Madam Jaywheh, some of the community residents attributed her death to the number of ghettos in the neighborhood, from which residents have been reportedly terrorized by marauding armed robbers and suspected criminals, with the thieves sometimes making away with valuable items.Share this:Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)last_img read more
